Tecspal
Tecspal's story began unexpectedly in 2022, when Santiago Alcuri and Juan Manuel Cat, both employees at an Apple reseller in Uruguay, received a request that would mark the start of a new business opportunity. A client of an English company, which had just hired a remote worker in Uruguay, urgently needed a computer so that the employee could start working immediately. Alcuri and Cat responded to the request quickly and efficiently, delivering the equipment without delay, which left the client satisfied.
This initial service was just the beginning. Three months later, the same client returned: the contract with the worker in Uruguay had ended and he needed to recover the equipment. Once again, Alcuri and Cat were responsible for collecting the device and coordinating its withdrawal, consolidating trust with the client. Shortly after, this same client requested the same type of assistance for collaborators in Peru and Colombia, which expanded the scope of their services and reinforced their reputation. In addition, they began to recommend their services to other companies with similar needs, highlighting their ability to manage remote work teams in different countries in the region.
Faced with this growing demand and with a clear opportunity for expansion, Alcuri and Cat met with Juan Pablo Bordaberry, who at that time worked as an agricultural engineer in a multinational in the agricultural sector. The three began to analyze the market and, observing the increasingly broad needs of companies with remote workers, they decided to formalize their business vision and launch Tecspal in July 2022. Conceived as an agile and low-risk company, Tecspal was founded with the aim of offering fast and reliable solutions in technology management for remote employees in Latin America.
"We gave ourselves six months to test the business and verify its viability in the market, but in just one month we had already generated significant income and captured several clients," said Bordaberry in an interview with the media Ámbito. With this first test phase successfully completed, the three partners decided to quit their previous jobs and devote themselves fully to Tecspal. Since then, the company has become a benchmark for support and management of teams in companies with remote staff, addressing the needs of a constantly growing market and adapting to the demands of an increasingly digitalized work environment.
Innovation and Recycling: New Services for the Future
Consolidated in the market, Tecspal has demonstrated not only its ability to adapt, but also its agility in capturing new opportunities. "We are a startup, so we are always very attentive and attentive to what customers ask for," explains Bordaberry when talking about the company's growth vision. Following this philosophy of active listening, the company identified an emerging demand: its clients were not only looking for equipment for new collaborators, but also needed solutions to manage those devices that had become obsolete.
In the technology industry, equipment typically has a useful life of approximately three years, after which its performance begins to be affected. However, these devices can still be useful if they are reconditioned and used for other types of users or needs. Tecspal took advantage of this opportunity and launched an equipment relocation service, allowing its clients to recover value from their unused devices. “We offered this service and immediately received a very good response, the same with the promotion of material recycling,” added Bordaberry. This new initiative has not only allowed the company to diversify its offering, but has also positioned it as a firm committed to sustainability.
Equipment relocation and recycling are not only a cost-effective solution for companies looking to optimize their assets, but also represent a commitment to the environment. Tecspal has set out to reduce the impact of electronic waste in the region, promoting circular economy practices that help minimize the waste of materials and resources in the technology sector. This vision of sustainability is a fundamental part of the company's identity and reflects a responsible and modern approach to technology management.
Tecspal: A Future of Expansion and New Opportunities
Thanks to its focus on innovation, Tecspal has positioned itself as a benchmark in the remote worker support market in Latin America. Its continued growth and interest in expanding its service offering into areas such as sustainability and technological reuse represent added value in the sector. By being in constant contact with the needs of its clients, the company plans to continue developing new solutions that allow it to comprehensively meet the demands of an evolving market.
In the words of Bordaberry: “We want to establish ourselves as the preferred option for any company looking for efficient management of its technology for remote work, while maintaining our commitment to recycling and reuse.” Tecspal not only responds to a need in the current market, but also aims to create a positive impact on the technology industry in Latin America, transforming the way companies manage their technological resources and promoting a more conscious and responsible approach.
